🔒 The Short Version

PillCount AI counts your pills entirely on your device. Your pill photos are never uploaded to any server. We collect minimal analytics data to improve the app, and we never sell your personal information to anyone.

1. Introduction & Scope

This Privacy Policy describes how Trucid ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with PillCount AI (the "App"), an iOS application that uses on-device artificial intelligence to count pills from camera images.

By downloading or using PillCount AI, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the App.

This policy applies to:

2. On-Device Processing

📱
Your pill images never leave your device

All AI pill detection is performed locally using Apple's CoreML framework. Camera frames and pill images are processed entirely on your iPhone or iPad — they are never transmitted to our servers or any third-party server for analysis.

Specifically, this means:

3. Information We Collect

We collect only the minimum information necessary to operate and improve the App.

3.1 Information You Provide

Data Type Description When Collected
Camera access Live camera feed for real-time pill detection. Frames are processed on-device and never stored or transmitted. When you use the counting feature
Photos library (write) Permission to save count result images to your Photos app. The App has write-only access — it cannot read your existing photos. When you explicitly save a result image
Support communications If you contact us by email, we retain your email address and the content of your message to respond to your inquiry. When you email support

3.2 Information Collected Automatically

7. Data Storage & Security

7.1 On-Device Data

Count history, preferences, and usage counters are stored exclusively on your device using iOS-native storage (SwiftData and UserDefaults). This data is protected by iOS's built-in data protection and is encrypted when your device is locked.

7.2 Cloud Data (Analytics & Crash Reports)

Anonymous analytics and crash reports are transmitted over HTTPS and stored on servers operated by Google (Firebase) and Mixpanel in the United States. These services use industry-standard security practices including encryption at rest and in transit.

7.3 Payment Data

All payment processing is handled by Apple via the App Store. We never receive, store, or process your credit card or payment details. RevenueCat stores only purchase receipts and subscription status — no payment method information.

7.4 Our Security Commitment

While no system is completely secure, we minimize data collection so that a potential breach of our service providers would not expose pill images, medical information, or sensitive personal data. The most sensitive data — your pill photos — never leaves your device.

10. Children's Privacy

PillCount AI is not directed to children under the age of 14. The App is designed for pharmacy professionals, pharmacists, and caregivers — an adult audience.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 14. If we become aware that a child under 14 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at admin@truthfinder-ai.net.

11. International Data Transfers

Trucid is based in the Republic of Korea. Analytics and crash data are processed by Google (Firebase) and Mixpanel, whose servers are located in the United States. RevenueCat processes subscription data in the United States.

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom, please be aware that these transfers occur pursuant to appropriate safeguards, including Standard Contractual Clauses as approved by the European Commission. By using the App, you acknowledge that your data may be processed in countries outside your country of residence.
