1 Introduction
Welcome to BlurCam ("we," "our," or "us"). BlurCam is an AI-powered privacy camera application that automatically detects and blurs faces and license plates in photos and videos using entirely on-device machine learning — no cloud processing, no uploads.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have. By using the BlurCam app ("the App"), you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the App.
If you have questions, contact us at admin@truthfinder-ai.net.
2 Core Privacy Principle: On-Device Processing
The fundamental design of BlurCam is privacy by architecture. All AI inference — including face detection, license plate detection, and blur rendering — runs entirely on your device's Neural Engine (Apple Silicon / CoreML). Your photos and videos are never transmitted to our servers or any third-party servers for processing.
- Face detection and blurring: on-device (Apple Vision / CoreML)
- License plate detection: on-device (on-device ML model)
- Video frame processing and export: on-device (local rendering)
- Processed output: saved directly to your device's Photo Library
3 Information We Collect
We collect the minimum data necessary to operate the App. Here is a precise breakdown:
| Data Category | What We Collect | Why | Stored Where |
|---|---|---|---|
| Photos & Videos | We do not collect, transmit, or store your photos or videos. | N/A | On-Device Only |
| Subscription & Purchase Data | Purchase receipts, subscription status, anonymous subscriber ID | To validate and manage your Pro subscription | RevenueCat (anonymized) |
| Usage Analytics | App open events, feature usage frequency, crash reports — no personal identifiers | To improve the App and fix bugs | Firebase (anonymized) |
| Device Information | iOS version, device model, app version, locale (anonymized) | Compatibility and performance improvements | Firebase (anonymized) |
| Crash Logs | Stack traces, crash type, device model — no personal data or media | Stability improvements | Firebase Crashlytics |
| Face Data (Selective Blur — optional feature) | When you optionally register a face for blur exclusion: a mathematical representation of that face, a small face thumbnail, and an optional name label you provide. Never collected during standard blur operations. | To identify which faces should be excluded from blurring during processing. Used only on-device at processing time. | On-Device Only (app private sandbox — never transmitted off-device). Deleted when you remove the face in Settings or uninstall the app. |
| Personal Identity | We do not collect your name, email, or any account credentials. | N/A | Not Collected |
4 Device Permissions
📷 Photo Library Access
Required to select photos and videos for processing and to save the blurred output back to your library. We read only the media files you explicitly select; we do not scan or access your entire library.
📸 Camera Access (Optional)
Required for the real-time camera preview feature, which shows live blur effects while recording. Camera footage is processed in real-time on-device and is never stored or transmitted.
🔔 Notifications (Optional)
Used only to notify you when a long video export has completed. Entirely optional and can be disabled at any time in iOS Settings.
📊 App Tracking Transparency (ATT)
We comply with Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework. We will request your permission before collecting identifiers for analytics purposes. If you deny permission, we still collect anonymous, non-identifying analytics only.
5 Third-Party Services
RevenueCat
We use RevenueCat to manage in-app subscriptions and purchase validation. RevenueCat receives
anonymized subscriber IDs and purchase receipts (via Apple's encrypted receipt system) to confirm
your subscription status. RevenueCat does not receive your photo or video content.

Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics (Google)
We use Firebase Analytics to understand how the App is used (feature adoption, session length)
and Firebase Crashlytics to identify and fix crashes. All data is anonymized; no photos, videos,
or personally identifiable information are included in these reports.

Apple App Store
Subscription purchases and payment processing are handled entirely by Apple. We do not receive
or store your payment card information.

6 Data Retention
Since BlurCam does not store your photos or videos, there is no media data to retain or delete. Regarding the minimal analytics data collected:
- Analytics data: Retained by Firebase for up to 14 months (default), after which it is automatically deleted.
- Crash logs: Retained by Firebase Crashlytics for 90 days.
- Subscription data: Retained by RevenueCat for the duration of your subscription plus a reasonable period for accounting purposes.
You may request deletion of your analytics data by contacting us. Because data is anonymized and not tied to any personal identifier, we may not be able to locate specific records for deletion.
7 Children's Privacy
BlurCam is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the European Economic Area). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at admin@truthfinder-ai.net and we will take appropriate steps to delete such information.
8 Your Rights
All Users
- Opt out of analytics: Deny ATT permission on iOS, or disable analytics in App Settings.
- Manage subscription: Cancel or modify your subscription at any time via the App Store Subscriptions settings.
EU / EEA Residents (GDPR)
- Right to access the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to rectification if data is inaccurate.
- Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten") for data we can identify as yours.
- Right to restrict processing.
- Right to data portability.
- Right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
California Residents (CCPA)
California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, and to opt out of the "sale" of personal information. We do not sell personal information.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at admin@truthfinder-ai.net.
9 International Data Transfers
BlurCam is operated from South Korea. The minimal analytics data processed by Firebase and RevenueCat may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries where these providers operate. These transfers are subject to appropriate safeguards, including Standard Contractual Clauses as required by applicable law.
10 Security
Because your photo and video content never leaves your device, the primary security concern is the device itself. We recommend using a strong passcode and keeping iOS updated.
For the limited analytics data that is transmitted, we use HTTPS encryption in transit and rely on Firebase and RevenueCat's enterprise-grade security infrastructure.
11 Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you within the App. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
