1 Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you") and the developer of BlurCam ("Developer," "we," "us," "our"), governing your access to and use of the BlurCam mobile application and any related services (collectively, the "App" or "Service").

By downloading, installing, or using BlurCam, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference.

2 Description of Service

BlurCam is a mobile application that uses on-device artificial intelligence to automatically detect and blur faces and vehicle license plates in photos and videos. Key features include:

Automatic face detection and blurring in photos and videos
Automatic license plate detection and blurring
Manual blur region adjustment
Multiple blur styles (Gaussian, mosaic, pixelation)

All AI processing occurs entirely on your device. We may update, modify, or discontinue features at any time at our sole discretion.

3 Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age (or 16 in the European Economic Area) to use BlurCam. This requirement exists because the App collects anonymous usage analytics (subject to COPPA in the United States) and processes in-app subscription payments, which require users to have the legal capacity to enter into contracts. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that you have parental or guardian consent to use the App.

The App is available where permitted by applicable law. You are responsible for compliance with local laws in your jurisdiction.

4 License Grant

4.1 License to You

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App on devices you own or control, solely for your personal or internal business purposes.

4.2 Restrictions

You may not:

Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the App or its underlying code
Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App
Sell, rent, lease, sublicense, or transfer your rights under this license
Remove or alter any proprietary notices, labels, or marks within the App
Use the App to build a competing product or service
Access the App through automated means, bots, or scrapers

5 Subscriptions & Billing

5.1 Subscription Plans

BlurCam offers optional paid plans ("BlurCam Pro") that unlock unlimited usage:

Annual Plan: Billed once per year at the published price, with automatic renewal.
Lifetime Purchase: A one-time payment granting permanent access to all Pro features available at the time of purchase. Does not include future features released as separate paid tiers, if any.

Current prices are displayed within the App prior to purchase. Prices may vary by region and are subject to change.

5.2 Billing & Renewal (Annual Plan)

The Annual Plan is managed through the Apple App Store and processed via RevenueCat. Your subscription will automatically renew unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.

5.3 Managing Annual Subscription

You can manage or cancel your Annual Plan at any time through: iOS Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → BlurCam. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; no partial refunds are issued for unused time, except where required by applicable law.

5.4 Lifetime Purchase

The Lifetime Purchase is a non-recurring, one-time in-app purchase. Once purchased, access is tied to your Apple ID and can be restored via the "Restore Purchases" option in the App. This purchase is non-transferable and cannot be shared across different Apple IDs.

5.5 Free Trial

If a free trial is offered for the Annual Plan, unused trial time will be forfeited upon purchase. Trial terms are displayed in the App at the time of offer.

5.6 Refunds

All purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests must be submitted directly to Apple through the standard App Store refund process. We do not have the ability to issue refunds directly.

6 Acceptable Use

You agree to use BlurCam only for lawful purposes and in compliance with applicable laws. You must not use BlurCam to:

Process, create, or distribute content that is illegal, defamatory, obscene, or harmful
Violate the privacy, intellectual property, or other rights of third parties
Harass, stalk, or intimidate any individual
Create or distribute non-consensual intimate imagery (NCII) or deepfakes
Circumvent or undermine safety or privacy protections of any person
Use the blurred output to misrepresent identity, falsify evidence, or commit fraud
Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the App

⚠ Important: While BlurCam is designed to protect privacy, you are solely responsible for ensuring your use complies with local laws regarding consent, recording, and publication of images and videos of other individuals.

7 Intellectual Property

7.1 Our IP

BlurCam, including its design, code, AI models, branding, and all related materials, is the exclusive property of the Developer and is protected by copyright, trade secret, and other applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer any ownership rights to you.

7.2 Feedback

If you submit suggestions, feedback, or ideas about BlurCam, you grant us a royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide license to use and incorporate such feedback without any obligation to you.

8 User Content

BlurCam processes photos and videos entirely on your device. Your media content is never uploaded to our servers, and we make no claim of ownership over your photos or videos.

You are solely responsible for the content you process using BlurCam and for ensuring you have the necessary rights, permissions, and consents to record, process, and publish any images or videos containing other people.

9 Disclaimer of Warranties

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, BLURCAM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that: (a) the App will be uninterrupted or error-free; (b) AI detection will identify 100% of faces or license plates in all conditions; (c) the App will meet your specific requirements; or (d) the App is free from viruses or other harmful components.

AI Accuracy Notice: BlurCam's AI detection is highly accurate but not perfect. You should always review the output before publishing. We are not liable for any missed detections or accidental blurring of non-target areas.

10 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL THE DEVELOPER BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOST PROFITS, LOSS OF DATA, OR REPUTATIONAL HARM, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRIOR TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) $10 USD.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation may not apply to you.

11 Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Developer and its affiliates, officers, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the App in violation of these Terms; (b) your violation of any applicable law or regulation; or (c) your infringement of any third-party rights, including privacy rights, in connection with your use of the App.

12 Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to BlurCam at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or applicable law.

You may stop using the App at any time. To cancel an Annual subscription, follow the steps described in Section 5.3. Uninstalling the App does not automatically cancel your subscription.

Upon termination, the license granted in Section 4 immediately ceases. Sections 7, 9, 10, and 11 survive termination.

13 Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any dispute arising under these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Seoul, Republic of Korea.

Notwithstanding the foregoing, nothing in these Terms limits your rights under mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence. EU consumers may also have access to the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

14 Changes to Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you within the App or via the App Store description.

Your continued use of BlurCam after any changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you should stop using the App.
